The development of our workforce strategy was led by our Local Workforce Action Board (LWAB).
LWABs exist in various forms across the country and have two areas of responsibility; supporting systems across a broad range of workforce and HR activity – including the delivery of a local workforce strategy, the local delivery of the Health Education England Mandate from the Department of Health and other key workforce priorities in line with national policies.
In West Yorkshire and Harrogate our LWAB membership includes key stakeholders from across health and social care. The LWAB meets bi-monthly and identifies, implements and oversees programmes of work that are designed to deliver the strategy. The LWAB also supports the delivery of workforce initiatives arising from the partnerships clinical priority programmes.
